Hello. My cousin put in a gtx 1060 Tuesday for his machine with an i5 4550. Since then two days later it's been crashing and Temps are not stable. He's in California and I'm in NY so can only help so much over phone..

I walked him through UEFI to increase cpu fan from 200 to 600 and the chassis fan as well. He has one intake and one exhaust 120mm. Asus gpu tweak fan setting for card is 80% static just to keep things cool.

He said it crashed again last night and all his setting in wow got erased. How do I help?

He made sure the cpu is connected in case he moved it while putting in the card. On a scale of 1 to 10 for tech xp, he's a -3

Please help!!

this sounds like hardware giving up the ghost (and i dont mean fans). If clear CMOS / reinstall OS  /even unplug those fans from the motherboard at all  -  try without 1 ram stick and maybe a few more stuff that i cant think off now doesnt help its either motherboard or cpu or psu going down (i bet on the mb)
