Front panel USB to audio jack?

Is there any sort of hardware that can be plugged into a front panel usb port and act as a sound card of sorts? I am getting horrible sound from my front panel audio jack compared to my rear one so I would like to have something that improves front panel quality.

First, go off rear panel, second, a usb soundcard would do the trick.

Zonar U3 is about as low as I would go if there is a onboard issue. If there isn't, onboard. Because anything more deserves good headphones.
