How do you prefer your gaming layout setup?

Hi all,

Here is a good question for you all as I have been deciding this for a while now. How do you prefer to have you gaming layout setup? So do you prefer giant desks with loads of room? Smaller and clean setups? If your like me and have a giant L shaped desk How do you have your monitors,Microphone(s),mixer and Pc laid out? Are you monitors in the corner? Or across both desks like mine? The reason im interested is because I do streaming console and PC and after reading and watching about audio setup online I found best for recording sound is to have your self in the middle rather then in a corner, but I do see a lot of gaming setups with there monitors in the corner of the desk rather then in the middle which does look really good. Also do you prefer your Pc on the floor or on the desk? Or wall?

Any way share some ideas and let me know what is your prefered layout of your own rig or someone elses thanks

one long desk thats wide enough to fit my keyboard, full mouse pad, mouse and tower and monitor. i like simple.

I like things minimalistic - one giant big desk which holds the display, peripherals and tower. As few cables used as possible (in my case, I've wired my monitor directly to the 12V coming from the PSU). Don't have speakers on my desk, usually just plug in headphones to play games or listen to music.

Gotta say that its pretty cool I did try to do cable management with mine but really couldnt work out best way to do it as got 3 monitors, mouse keyboard,camera.mic,mixer,laptop,switcher,spliter,360,xbone,ps3,tivo box,superhub3. How did you wire your display to your psu? thats pretty awesome.

The display I'm using luckily has a 12v input, so I spliced the connections at the power brick and joined them to a molex connector inside the case. Draws roughly 40 watts. Looking to try it on a mains-input monitor though, since the majority of those run on 12v internally too

That sounds good  btw do you know how to wire some pc fans to a external power?

thing i hate is there is no way to go 100 percent wireless, you can use wireless hdmi and such but you are always stuck with the power cable

yea that is true are wireless HDMI any good was tempted to try it? Any recommendations.

not for gaming no, for regular use its fine.

At work neat and tidy minimalist. At home massive jumbled pile of cables and mess who cares I'm here to game not tidy. :-)

I wish I had an L desk, but how I got it now, two monitors, keyboard mouse, and my PC next to this showing off it's glory.

I planned my entire desk setup wrong. I have an L ikea bekant and dont entirely like it anymore.

Looking good ? I keep thinking of changing mine around again, just recently tidied the hdmi cables up a bit more now got the switch and USB hub under the desk held by 3m tape and splitter on top may move the splitter underneath as well.
