So, I think I have all the drivers installed, and looking through device manager, there's only one warning triangle. It's for other devices and under it, it says "Unknown device." I got the hardware Ids: root\eldos_virtual_pnp_bus, but I have no idea where I get this driver. I googled it but the 2 sites I found, I couldn't find an actual download link. Where do I find this? Did I miss something on my motherboard driver page?

System: Windows 10 64bit

Mobo: gigabyte b250m ds3h

Thanks

Hmm. so the link downloaded something called driver identifier. Reddit says it's legit... But after running it, it still couldn't find my driver and told me to google it.

driver identifier is freaking BS...

Yeah, it just had me install some old drivers.

nothing on the driver disc?

you right clicked on it while in the device manager and selected update driver?

what about trying slimdrivers?

Unfortunately, I don't have a dvd drive, so I can't used the included disc. I tried updating the driver in the device manager, but it said, "Windows could not find the update" or something along the lines of that. In other words, no driver update. I'll try slim drivers.

If everything is working as it should then don't worry about it. I would not recommend using driver programmes no matter how legit is seems.I got malware when I used them. If it was important then windows update would have picked up on it.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Have a look on the motherboard spec page and have a look for the drivers there.

Yeah, I have those drivers downloaded and installed. I'm assuming windows will know when a driver needs an update? say realtek or something? Or does windows only check certain specific drivers?

It's along time since I have use windows. As from what I can remember it wont update drives once it has them installed but I know checks for things that don't have a driver or it detects new hardware.

Hmm, would there be a way for me to check if the drivers are updated (aka, being lazy)? Or should I just go to all the specific websites and find out myself? Cause even though i installed the sound driver from the gigabyte website, one game i have in particular has been acting weird with the audio (never happened on my laptop) so not sure if it's a driver issue or something.

I don't think there is a way, sorry. But if you can uninstall the sound driver and use the one from the support page for your mobo, here, then it should not take that long. If you don't have a dvd drive put the disk in a pc that dose and just copy the stuff to a USB.
