Swapping Windows and drives

Just to be sure if I pull my current win10(upgraded free from 8.1)drive and put in a non activated win7 drive that won't mess up licencing, right?

Windows is tied to the mobo and you need to reinstall Windows most likely

I mean im not going to put the win10 drive into another computer, and the win7 drive has never been activated, I guess now it looks similar to a dual boot...
