PCIe Wifi Adapter Aesthetics

zainbrain

I am looking for a PCIe WiFi adapter for my system and while finding one purely for performance is easy enough, I am really struggling to find one that doesn't just have ugly circuit board showing. Basically, what I am hoping to find is one with a back plate of sorts. Acceptable colors for my build are black, white, or chrome; Although, I am okay with having to paint a back plate if need be. Does anyone here have any suggestions?

I have seen those, but if you take notice in the 4th pic on Newegg, there is only the heatsink on one side. The side that would be on top after installation (the most visible side) is still bare CB. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704241&cm_re=t9e_tplink-_-33-704-241-_-Product

I am using the 1st and 3rd pcie x16 positions for my SLI config so it doesn't leave a lot of room for viewing the bottom but there is a significant gap to view the top through. It will be somewhat concealed but not a whole lot. This is going to be a very clean build so it just seems like kind of a shame for there only to be one detail that isn't super clean simply because of a wifi adapter...

PS:Thank you for your input and quick responses.

If aesthetics are that important, then buy a wireless bridge or access point/wireless router capable of bridge mode.

That's a good thought. I'm think maybe I will go for a wireless access point if I am unable to find a nice enough card. Having the ability to just connect on it's own would be nice (since I will be traveling with it from time to time), but in that case, I suppose I could just run off a usb adapter for a little while. Thank you!
