Like the title, is there any way I can open the port I want in the modem, there is no switch/router between the computer and the modem.

So your PC is connected directly to the modem?

Then no, you need to purchase a router.

I really wouldn't suggest having your PC connected directly to the modem, there's basically no security on a modem.

Wait so i have an ethernet cable, you don't recommend me using that?

I do have two router the first one is  Belkin N300 Wireless Router which froze/lost internet  ever time I save the port forwarding, the other one is   TP‑LINK TL‑WR841N  which do save the setting but do not work

If the settings are not working, there is most likely something wrong with the settings being input. Either that, or your ISP blocks port forwarding, either on specific ports or in general. You may want to contact your ISP on that.

Either way, you cannot port forward without going through a router, as port forwarding relies on NAT, which is not done by the modem. Connecting directly to the modem, unless you have multiple IP addresses given to you by your ISP, gives you a single IP address and allows for a single device to be connected to the internet. Using a router with NAT allows multiple devices to use a single IP address to connect to the internet. Port forwarding associates a port with a local IP address, which should be a part of NAT.

Huh? I didn't mention anything about cables or not using them. I said don't connect directly to a modem, it's best to connect to the router as it actually has a firewall.
