Need help with a MSI GS70 2QE

Hi, I have a problem with my laptop. I dropped the laptop, while being on, on its face, but it survived. Later I tripped in a cable and the screen went black. As the curious and diy person I am, I voided the warranty and opened the laptop myself. I found nothing wrong, so I concluded the screen was the problem. So I ordered a screen and inatalled it, but to no avail. Frustrated I waited some days until today.

I opened the laptop up just to see if I could spot something. Seeing nothing I tried turning it on again and waddaya know, the thing works! Happily I closed it up, used it for an hour until I figured the usbs isnt working. I open it up again and now the picture is gone again.

I can connect an external screen, so the gpus must be working.

Maybe opening it put the connector in right? Is it 40pin or eDP?

Try taking the connector out carefully and putting it back in.

idk

I have done so several times, on both the connector to the motherboard, and the one on the screen itself.

I got the screen to work again, but I wanted to change screens to the new one I bought. Fully aware that this would screw up the picture. The picture did not come up, nor does it work on an external screen now. This is definetaly a gpu screw up I believe. But it seems that sometimes when I remove all power and turn on power again, it works, but rarely.

But whenever it does work, it acts alright, but removing power again will screw it up again. Is it safe to say its a gpu bug?
