Well the process I used, all I had to do was install a program on my computer that did everything for me. Never had to turn off my phone or put it into the "Android BIOS".

you mean recovery? well you should go find your way as to how LG distributes their developer key to unlock their phone, that recovery will be your lifeline when you screw things up multiple times like I have.

I don't even think I can access it on the G2, because I tried the power button + power down key combo when booting up the phone, and it doesn't go into recovery mode.

like I said, there is a way to unlock it, certain companies distribute keys to developers to unlock the phone, go and see how to get this key from LG

you have to flash a custom recovery while your phone is plugged in in fastboot.
