Ultrawide recommendations?

Hi All,

So i'm a web developer who will be working from home soon, so I can finally justify an ultrawide. At the moment i'm rocking a 32" samsung 1440p display and a  21" asus display (vertically), I want rid of them for an ultrawide. I'll be using it both for work (Code / Design) as well as gaming, so i'll want to hook up both my work mac via mini dp or thunderbolt and my pc. I'm in the UK dont really want to go above £750, i've found 2 potentials already:

Samsung - It's the cheaper option http://www.ebuyer.com/671563-samsung-s34e790c-34-curved-ultrawide-qhd-monitor-ls34e790cns-en

LG - The more expensive option http://www.ebuyer.com/739136-lg-34uc98-34-curved-ips-qhd-monitor-34uc98-w

What can you recommend?

I have seen the LG display in real life before (actually, three of them) and can it looks super good. Great viewing angles and a nice stand. It's obviously the better of the two. The Samsung one is VA, which may have a bit better black values (usually), but also worse viewing angles (again, usually. In my experience that is).

100 GBP should be worth the difference between the two.\

As a web developer myself, I'd personally get a big 4k screen, vertical pixels are also really handy and they're cheaper than 1440p ultrawides ;)

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/products/monitor/#r=384002160&sort=a8&W=2700,5500&i=50

You can even get two 4k monitors instead of one ultrawide 1440p monitor.

Since you have a 970, you won't be able to drive games at 1440p ultrawide anyway so unless you're planning a gpu upgrade soon i'd get the 2x 4k screens and game on the 1440p screen or even that 21" (1080p I assume?) screen because framerates.

I have the LG 34UM88-C 34" 3440x1440 FREESYNC IPS WideScreen and boy I couldn't recommend it enough. I only really do music composition and play games on it but I am glad I spent a good amount of dosh on it... It was an expensive decision and I'm glad I didn't spend more on the curved one... so yeah... LG I would recommend... don't know about which model though lol!
