How do you handle your mouse?

This might seem like a stupid question, but I've been having difficulties finding a comfortable and efficient position to use my mouse when playing FPS games. Do you use your mouse without armrests on your chair, and do you rest your wrist on your mousepad and just use wrist movements for mousing?

I use a clawgrip on the mouse and move it using my wrist. My arm is laying flat on the mousemat and extending onto an armrest on my chair

I just have my whole monitor, keyboard and mouse setup really far back so i can rest my arms on the table/mousemats.

I have difficulties aiming downwards with the mouse when resting my arms on the armrests, as I can't slide my arm backwards kinda. How do you do this if you have armrests?

I have  pretty long desk so about 80% of my forearm rests on my desk and normally use a mixture of palm / claw grip.

I grip with my fingertips around the edges and don't actually rest my palm on the mouse its self.

I always had a hybrid half claw half fingertip grip my whole pc gaming life (about 8 years) but over the past 2 months I have been relaxing my grip, training it to be more inline with a traditional palm grip. Right now I am stuck in a hybrid palm/fingertip grip and actually notice a difference for the better in my game play. I keep about 4-5 inches of my arm rested on my desk while gripping my mouse and use a wrist pad for my keyboard. I have a mid back leather office chair and adjusted it to help my posture and I took the arm rests off of it.

I move it up and down with my fingers... this is only when on the net though and doing other stuff.... gaming it just goes where it needs to and as fast as possible.

I have hands that are too big for every mouse out there, the only one I found that fits me (since I palm my mouse over whatever you say) is the Logitech G700, even though its starting to feel a bit small over the years...

I change positions based on intensity. If it's Operation Metro level intense, I bring out "The Claw" if it's a little slower paced I am comfortable wit a palm.

No elbow, my wrist doesn't touch my desk

I claw grip my mouse, rest my whole forearm on my desk, with my wrist on my mouse pad. I use a combination of my wrist and fingers to move the mouse - my wrist moves it side to side and my fingers do the rest.

I do the claw, and everything but my had is pretty much off the desk and on my chair's armrest. But I really need a new chair, since mine rocks side to side, which it isn't supposed to.

Getting used to a high DPI really makes it a lot easier to move around with just your wrist while resting your arm. I myself use palm grip even though i see no advantage over either.
