Headphone Ear Cup Replacements

I have a pair of DT990 pro 250 ohm headphones. After taking the ear cups off and washing them the texture feels wrong and they were not that comfortable for me in the first place. I am having some difficulty finding a pair of replacements ear cups. Does anyone know of a good pair. I would prefer leather and I am willing to spend up to 50$. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Thanks.

Here are the DT-990 replacement pads. Or if you want, you can try out some Brainwavz earpads which may or may not change the sound of your headphones.

They will change the sound. There isn't any may or may not about it.

I think I will try the brainwavz ones. Do all of them fit the dt 990s or should I look for something specifically?

I would recommend using the stock pads again, unless you can find someone who has already tried the brainwavz pads, and thought they were good. New pads change the sound, and it may not be a good thing (ex. pleather pads on the DT770 eliminates a ton of bass, which isn't all that enjoyable if you like EDM, or electronica.)

There's always a possibility that it doesn't. I haven't tried swapping pads on a DT990 so I wouldn't be able to absolutely say for certain. Always have to leave room for error, like how everyone thought the Falcons would definitely win yesterday at the half.

They will all fit, but you have to do some pre-stretching of the elastic first. Even then, since the ear cup of the DT-990 is so large, it will take you some time to get it on there. It will definitely fit, and I've gotten them to fit on my DT-770.

You're wrong. Unless they use the same materials, they WILL change the sound.

Wrong. Different combinations can achieve the same outcome. I'm not saying that it will, but it can.

If you can present me with 1 pair of headphones that measures the same with different pads, and no other modifications, then I will concede the point. Otherwise you're wrong.

You obviously can't read, otherwise you would know the difference between can and will. So I'll stop this here.

But it doesn't matter because in this case, it's all about the will.
