Putting this in general, dunno if it belongs here, I thought about new builds but its not a build... anyway mods can move if wrong section.

Hey pc bros. I wanted your opinion on something. So right now I have an i5 6500, 8GB of DDR4 @ 2133 and a 480, got a small boot ssd, 1TB hdd not important, the important part is the main specs.

Well its getting to the point where my PC isn't enough for my streams, I need a quad core or better with hyper threading for the best quality so I thought about something and I wanna know what you guys think... I found fingerhut, that website where you lease monthly, better for people like me with low income, and they have some decent PCs on there. One in particular that grabbed my eye was a 6800k, 16GB, and a 1080, comes with a 240 boot drive and a 2TB HDD, link here https://www.fingerhut.com/product/NMVIN.uts and wanted your thoughts on if its worth it? For someone like me who just can't afford to dump 350 on a processor down or a 1070, would it be worth selling my PC and leasing instead? Sure its a pre built, but its in a normal case so I can still customize it later. Let me know, be honest.

Don't lease your hardware man

Just wait to see what Ryzen offers should be 6c/12t chips for less than what the intel chips/X99 motherboards run

Also try using ReLive or GPU accelerated streaming in OBS in the meantime

I'm well aware its cheaper and more efficient to build your own, but did you not see where I said I cannot afford that? It will take me like 3 years to afford my own build yet with a lease after payment 1 its mine, even if I cant pay, it ruins my credit, but they won't repo the system. Its not like shitty aarons or rent a center.

I'm pretty sure that's going to be in the terms of service somewhere man, also certainly not worth ruining your credit to get a PC

besides only upgrading your CPU/Motherboard when Ryzen drops should be about $500 max, just throw that on credit if anything

and I suppose it's a bit late, but an FX 8 core would have probably been a better choice than the i5 for what you wanted to do

I never said I *would* ruin my credit, but if I couldnt pay, its not like theyd take it from me. But yes its not worth ruining it over a PC, I didnt plan too. I didn't think about that option, using a credit card to get upgrades and paying it off later, but all credit cards want a deposit. Plus it would be like what I imagine 250ish for a ryzen cpu, 100ish for the board, and maybe a vega gpu idk?

And yea I realize an FX chip would have been better at this rate, I def need more cores.

But ya you should still be able to stream using ReLive or just GPU accelerated stuff in OBS

Those prices should be about right for the 4c/8t Ryzen chips

Still not 100% sure what to do... some other people on a facebook PC group also said not to do it, they also said save it, its just for a PC of that caliber I'd be saving for years... for ryzen I *might* be able to afford it by May my birthday if I get good money from people but I'm going on 20, I doubt my family is gonna shower me in money like the good ole days.
