Do laptop HDDS use standard SATA?

Depending on how old the laptop is, sure. It's gonna be a slow drive though.

Hey, I was just wondering, do laptop HDDS use standard SATA data and power connectivity? I was wondering is I could use an old laptop HDD in my new build.

 

Since I am to lazy to put something interesting here, I will put everything, but slightly abbreviated. Here is everything:

 Motherboard: ASRock B250M Pro4 Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard, 

Memory: Corsair 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory,

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive,

Yes, most laptops use SATA. But even for archival storage, it will be slow, but make sure you are careful. Make sure the drive is not damaged in any way, because drives previously used in laptops have more wear and tear due to being thrown around.
