Hey gang,

I had tried linux before and I really didn't like it because I needed to know commands to get some programs running and really I didn't want to waste my time with that. I have gotten a dell laptop for my birthday so I can study with when I'm on lunch break at work and I'm studying on Free Code Camp so my usages are:
- Browser to: study coding

: watch videos on youtube when I take a break
- Play around with spyder

- And maybe some program for web dev.

My issue with my laptop is that it runs pretty damn slow but loads fast (thanks windows 10) it was pretty bad when I had installed avast antivirus and then uninstalled it and it was smoother but still the response time, time to open programs and whatnot is quite slow so I'm looking for a distro that is also lightweight and easy to use for beginners and programmer friendly.

EDIT: Also would I need to reinstall some drivers from my laptop like the touchpad driver and etc...?
Thanks!

Alright so I am at timmies trying to get my wireless driver to work for home because when I type in the right password it just says disconnected from internet. Im going to work soon and Ive been trying to fix it for about an hour now. Im running linux mint 18 and honestly I am already hating this but unfortunately its faster than w10. So how do I fix this problem because im checking on google and theyre asking to type all these commands and then finding this program and that program to search for driver then to type a command line *mind blown*. Last night I spent hours finding a proper tutorial to install linux if I wanted dual boot option.

So does anyone know how on earth I can make my wifi work when im connecting to a wifi with a password?

If you don't want to learn linux command line (which i would highly recommend learning it helps you know how your computer works) I would recommend either Linux Mint or Ubuntu, but I would recommend an ubuntu variant like Lubuntu or Kbuntu because unity, in my opinion, sucks.
