How to change your fan speed?

I have an MSI apache laptop and the fans are getting really loud from little stress. I was wondering if there's a program that I can use to adjust them. I download MSI afterburn but the fan speed is grayed out. Any advice or info will help, thanks!

If it's greyed out then I don't think you can change them

In some laptops the fans are controlled at a hardware level meaning you can't use software to change the speeds.

Some Windows power management options can do something. How are your temps? Thing with laptops is that you are sacrificing coolness and noise for portability.
