APU recommendation - A10-7890K

Hey guys

Would the A10-7890K be a good long lasting, budget chip, or should I go for something else?

The APU is primarily going to be used for daily usage, such as, surfing, and writing...
I thought about paring it up with an ASUS A88XM-PLUS FM2+ motherboad, and 8GB DDR3 RAM from Kingston

I would go for one of the new Intel Pentiums, e.g Pentium G4600. It will offer better performance at a much lower price, especially for your needs.

for daily usage, i'd recommend the g4560 instead. you won't need the extra APU graphics performance and the g4560 is more capable of gaming if you add in a gpu in the future. also, you can upgrade the pentium to a better cpu while you're stuck to the a10.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

If you're trying to do gaming without a GPU maybe, are you getting these parts used on the cheap?

but wait for AM4 APUs before anything, FM2+ isn't worth buying

Otherwise Pentium G4560

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I have an A10 7870k and it has been quite stable. Make sure you have fast memory (2133mhz) in dual channel to get the most out of it. I use my PC for gaming and used the APU on it's own for some time before getting an R7 250 to use in Dual Graphics, and it worked very well. For everyday, you should be well served.
