Hi,

I am a new member to the LinusTechTips forum form the UK. So, hi everyone!

I have decided in the next few months to purchase a gaming PC. However, I am torn.

I know what specification I want, but I am unsure whether to build it myself (to which I am capable of) or, Buy a pre made model, but still have the customisation of my own choice of pieces.

I have never built a PC, but from watching plenty of videos and researching on the matter, I feel confident to do it. However, I do have worries about messing it up.

Thanks, JamesTay.

its quite normal to be unsure about building a pc by yourself if you haven't done it before. i know i was super paranoid i would shock one of my components and mess everything up but i would say it was definitely worth it to build it myself as now i am very comfortable with building and modifying pcs.

@gchan985 I would need the PC, keyboard, monitor I could wait for.

The rice I have come up with includes a monitor also, but I could wait without it as I have a spare one.

@Brooksie359 I know. The worrying is high. But, I know if I just be careful, all will be good.

lol just realized we both in uk :)

i've built my first pc 2 years ago they're more resilient than you think

as for your pc you can check pc partpicker and as you're going to be building it in the next few months you may aswell wait  unitl later as there's a new line of CPU's coming out in march from AMD. the CPU market prices will drop so there may be a better pickings later on...

i make it so it has some future expandability, the 6700 will be relevent for a while and he can throw in next gen gfx cards without big bottlenecks.

Aw don't, @nerdslayer1 was perfect already, yours with issues like an OC ready motherboard and locked CPU, unnecessary CPU cooler, no ultra-side free sync monitor...
