Too much thermal paste applied?

I recently installed the cooler (CPU G4560), but I am a little bit worried, if the amount of the thermal grease, that I applied, was too much. Unfortunately, I can't evaluate the cooler and CPU from the side due to the small case. Was it too much? Should I reapply the thermal paste or leave everything as is?

btw the mounting pressure of the cooler affects temps more than the an=mount of thermal paste. It's better to put too much on than too little.

To me it looks too little. I use line method and as luke has shown, as far as u dont do too little or too much the method doesnt matter.

It's no where near too much. As already said, maybe add a little more and come back with a picture.

I reapplied the paste because the performance of the first one I used was very disappointing (Spire X2-431). Therefore, I bought this time the MX-4 tube and applied it. The temperature is definitely much better this time under load - 52-54 C vs up to 70 C with the first one. However, I have a strong feeling, that this time was definitely too much paste. I watched all the videos on YouTube how to do it correctly and how much to apply, but I find it quite challenging to evaluate the amount applied. Should I try once again?

Yeah too much thermal paste is never a bad thing, if its keeps your system cooler and is not seeping out all over the place then its fine.
