Hi guys,

Building a fairly budget oriented PC for a friend, mostly looking for any advice on possible compatibility issues or cheaper alternatives.

Performance wise just aiming for a capable 1080p box nothing too fancy but not bargain basement either.

Pricing in GBP(£) as I'm UK based and for those of you looking to recommend alternative builds/parts bare in mind the GPU, PSU and Windows are all FREE as I'm donating them to the build.

Parts list is as follows:

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860k - £64.99

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-F2A78M-HD2 Micro ATX FM2+ - £41.89

RAM: ADATA XPG V1.0 8GB (1 x 8GB) - £42.77

SSD: PNY CS1311 120GB - £39.47

GPU: EVGA GTX 960 SSC ACX 2.0+ 2GB - Free (My old GPU)

Case: CiT F3 Black/Purple - £24.98

PSU: Corsair CS450M - Free (My old PSU)

OS: Windows 10 64-bit - Free (Spare Copy)

TOTAL: £214.10

Wait for ryzen and get either a fx-8350k or a fx-6300k, because they will most likely become cheaper due to new cpus.
