It's totally fine. Hell, I've mounted a full ATX board with only 4 screws once.

trying to build my first pc, using a h170m-ds3h motherboard on a corsair 100r case. the motherboard takes 6 screws but we can only put five. the hole next  to the sata express has no place to screw on to the case since that section is hollowed out on the case. is it ok to screw only 5?
