sounds like it.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I don't get the part about "dragging". Do you mean defragmenting the disk? And it's stuck in a continuous loop?

Main System: Phobos

AMD Ryzen 7 2700 (8C/16T), ASRock B450 Steel Legend, 16GB G.SKILL Aegis DDR4 3000MHz, AMD Radeon RX 570 4GB (XFX), 960GB Crucial M500, 2TB Seagate BarraCuda, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations/macOS Catalina

Secondary System: York

Intel Core i7-2600 (4C/8T), ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3, 16GB GEIL Enhance Corsa DDR3 1600MHz, Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB, 240GB ADATA Ultimate SU650, Windows 10 Pro for Workstations

Older File Server: Yet to be named

Intel Pentium 4 HT (1C/2T), Intel D865GBF, 3GB DDR 400MHz, ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB (HIS), 80GB WD Caviar, 320GB Hitachi Deskstar, Windows XP Pro SP3, Windows Server 2003 R2

Windows starts to bit but all I get is the tiny circles spinning forever. All I can do is get into CMD from the installation disk and nothing's working.

Have you tried getting into the "Repair Windows" area?

Oh. that's fine. I think a lot of us hate autocorrect.

Idk what you mean by that

I am not sure if they still have it, but there used to be a somewhere you could go on the Windows DVD to repair a Windows installation.

I googled around and you can only access safe mode on latest Windows from the OS

damn im not sure

defragging usually doesnt corrupt anything on a HDD

keep troubleshooting and stick around to see if someone can help you

as a last resort - and actually a good one:

i would say boot ubuntu off a USB (its free and easy to setup)

pull all your data off the HDD onto an external drive and reformat / reinstall OS
