How do i improve my old laptop?

So i have this early 2014 hp pavillilon that I retired last year but i want to restore it but it has a amd in it... What should i do to improve it?

Get an SSD if you don't already have one.

slap more RAM and an SSD if there isn't

Alright what brand of ram i am gonna put a hyper x savage in it.

RAM and SSD upgrades are the only thing that really perks up laptops.

You'd be surprised how much an SSD will perk up a dying laptop.

any brand ram will do, just make sure it's compatable.

Sodimm ram stick. Need more info on the laptop. Model number maybe?

you could try a different OS, depends on what you use the laptop for. Also a reformatting a machine if you have been using it for a while can be helpful.

Any 1600MHz ddr3 Sodimm + SSD + Fresh install of windows 8/10.
Remove all the crap software.
Disable most startup applications.
Should feel pretty brand new.
Oh, clean the insides too and maybe apply new thermal paste.

Have fun with your new notebook.
