An article I dun wrote on NB51's ThinkPads

Eason85

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Enthusiasts-bring-classic-ThinkPad-designs-to-the-modern-era.194630.0.html

The X62's specs are quite a boost from the X61's in nearly all areas: The screen has been updated from a 1024 x 768 TN to a 1400 x 1050 IPS panel. The Core 2 Duo has been replaced with an Intel i7-5500u, and the motherboard has been completely revamped as well. The team has added support for up to 32 GB of RAM, mSATA SSD and 2.5-inch SSD support, and mini HDMI, mini DP, and USB 3.0 ports (unfortunately, the VGA, dock, and Cardbus ports were sacrificed for this modernization).

I wish I could get my hands on one. Would find a Nokia feature-phone and use both in public like a boss.

? it's probably possible if you added a totally new cooling system and were able to convince the mobo factory to make 12" boards with quadcores. You might just want to wait for the T70 tho

my HP 2570p has a socketed processor and you can drop in a 3632QM or pretty much any IVB quad with about 20 minutes of work

it runs hot as fuck but still runs and it's all that performance in one little 12.5" package without much throttling

idk

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish they would make the T570 with old style keyboard, haswell mobile socket, tb3. I feel like that's technically impossible. Can Haswell mobile even run TB3, does it even have enough lanes to?

Take the numpad off and give it a real keyboard and I'd get the T570. It's like .5" larger than the XPS 15 in W/H

Check their facebook. AFIK they're inundated on orders because Chinese new year means nobody in China works for a couple weeks. They told me they'll be announcing some new models/taking orders in February.

I hate how intel is soldering all the skylake and kaby lake stuff. they need to bring back the likes of 4940mx. that things STILL outperforms the 6920HQ LOL. Only dethroned by the 7920HQ.

I've seen even slightly BCLK'd IVB 3840QMs beat the 4940MX in some benches.

There's some special shit you can flash on my Elitebook that allows you to set BCLK to 104.4 meaning that you get a little perf boost.

Make PGA Intel Processors Great Again

idk
