Hours upon hours of raw 4K / 8K footage. New videos every day. It adds up. You'll see they're always referring to previous episodes/videos so keeping hold of the footage is important.

Standard practice for media production companies.

jup ... unedited raw footage eats harddrives for breakfast - i have my camera output 1080p50 @ 50 mbit/s h264 wich is a joke compared to 4k and the footage i shot for a video that is maybe 15-20 minutes total after editing is like 50 GB or more ... do that evey day and it adds up fast.

i also record my twitch sessions to harddisk, wich is only 720p30 @ 2.5 mbit/s.

but doing 3 hours or more per session three times a week fills up the drive faster than i expected

they have a similar set up at the place i freelance edit for between all the servers they probably have about 300TB because there rolling 4k fottage for almost 12-16 hours a day so it builds up FASSSTTT

I lurk a lot
