i cant repair computer with restore system

So one my pc was doing bsods everytime i boot up the pc , so i want to use restore system but it gices this error :

rstrui.exe - Application Error

The instruction at 0xfbd2584d referenced memory at 0x00000008. The memory could not be read.

 

can anyone help?

that's not a memory error.

did you try doing a repair from the bios with your system disc?

yes and the first thing that the machine reccomended is to use restore system but it stills gives the error

  1. Boot into recovery
  2. Go to the advanced options and choose command line
  3. Type "sfc /scannow /offbootdir=C: /offwindir=C:\Windows" without the quotes, and press Enter
  4. Wait for it to finish.  It should take awhile.

and it wouldn't repair that way?

screw the restore from the desktop. there's something else going on.

rstrui.exe  is System Restore.

I'd suggest you pull out that drive from the PC, get it to another computer, and copy and paste all the files to that drive, and then format it. Then install Windows again. Probably a terribly corrupt windows install.

I experienced a similar problem and I was really challenged to fix it; I managed through an Indian game site and google translate. Good for me!

THIS IS WHY I SAID TO INSTALL FROM BIOS ( WINDOWS REPAIR OFF DISC )!
