Guys please someone help me , i am planning to upgrade my FX 6300 in couple of months (3-4) and i am currently looking at i5 4670k or 4690k , should i go for them or 6600k ? What's your opinion? and i am planning on MSI Z97 PC Mate motherboard for overclocking. And is stock cooler for intel okay for first 2-3 monts cuz my TX3 evo doesn't support 1150 or 1151 motherboard ? i am not planning to overclock while i have stock cooler.

i would go for something like a I7 6700K or a 6600k since you get DDR4 and you can overclock more i think

4th gen i5 sounds like a good plan, as then you can reuse your ram and use the Z97 PC Mate board (you will need a Z170/Z270 board and DDR4 for the 6600k).

The TX3 Evo does support LGA 115x (LGA 1156, 1155, 1150 and 1151 have identical mounting holes), I currently have one mounted onto a Z77 Sabertooth on my testbench, so you shouldt have any problems mounting it on your new board ;)
