3d modeling

so recently i've gotten into battle bots and would like to make prototypes via 3d modeling them, thing is i've only ever tried to use blender and I couldn't even figure out how to make a shape.

 

is there any like really easy to use 3d modeling program, free or paid idc.

Try Google Sketchup?
From what I remember it's pretty straight forward.

Blender is easy enough with some basic interface stuff under your belt.
I'd highly recommend staying away from sketchup for 3d printing - without mods its not really designed for high-poly work.

One thing I'd suggest is enabling 'loop tools' addon.

If you're a student, you can get 3ds Max for free, otherwise I would suggest looking up tutorials for Blender.

there are a lot 3d softwares you can use for free as a student. I know i use solidworks and its probably the most strait forward 3d modeling program i have used so far.
