I'm considering some upgrades. My first question is, what does two GTX 760s perform similar to in the Maxwell or Pascal generation? For example, would a 950 or a 1050ti be an upgrade? If so, by how much?

There's a GTX 970 for $175, is this a decent price? Also, is $75 a good price for two 8gb sticks of 1600mhz ddr3 RAM from HyperX? The ASUS Z97-A supports a maximum of 32gb RAM, but how much ram does it support per stick? Can I get two 16gb sticks or 4 8gb sticks or even one 32gb stick? I know that the more spread across (8x4 rather than 32x1) is better, but is it possible on this motherboard (just incase).

A 950 or 1050 ti will not be an upgrade at all. It is only a small increase (or some maybe a downgrade) for the 950 over single 760

A 1050 ti is indeed faster than 960 but a 960 is not a big jump from single 760.

A 760 SLI would perform better than a single  780 by a bit

Overall I would say a 980/1060/1070/RX 480 would be better jump (though you do still see a significant increase in performance with 970)

Neither a 950 or a 1050ti would be an upgrade to dual 760s, you're looking at a minimum of a 980/1060/RX480 (maybe a 970?) ideally as in games that supports SLI well, dual 760s were basically as fast (or even slightly faster than) as a single 780ti where a 970 more or less as fast as a 780ti and is only a bit faster than a 780 :)

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

A 760 SLI perform somewhere on par or better than Titan Maxwell while a 780 Ti outperforms it

Fair enough :P

I just remembered how it was 780 vs dual 760 benchmarks I was looking at 3 years ago xD

Good thing I upgraded to a 480. Else you would see me rocking 2 old 760 right now lol

Bad thing I downgraded to a 470. Else you would see me rocking 2 old 290X right now lol (well they both died sooooo...ermmmm)

So, would a 1060 6gb or a 1070 be an upgrade from dual 760s? Mine aren't lagging behind yet but I'm wondering what GPU I should buy if I happen to come across some good deals. Also does anyone know if Premiere or After Effects benefit from more RAM or hyperthreading? I'm considering upgrading to a 4790k and definitely more RAM if I see some if it is worth it.

Well my opinion is... while single GPU always better than SLI, if you are happy with what you already have there's no need to update. 8 GB Ram might fall abit behind now so upgrade to 16 might be a good idea, As for the CPU upgrade... ur 4690k is still a very decent CPU that the upgrade isnt really worth it. And the discussion about Premiere and After effect you can read more about here:

Well a 1060 is a very slight upgrade in games that support SLI but a massive upgrade in  games that doesn't while the 1070 would be a massive upgrade across the board :)
