so i just bought and installed a brand new x62 kraken AIO cooler. when i first turned it on there was a ratling noise coming from the pump. after a few minutes of running the ratling disapeared and i thought(hoped) everything was good.

now after pretty much a day of running this weird thing started to happen, every +-5 minutes a strange ratling/screeching sound comes from the pump, and after about 10 seconds of making the noise, it goes away.

now ive tried to shake the rad to try and get the air to flow to he top but it didnt help...

any thoughts on what it might be?

(it might be coil whine but if it is coil whine its one ive never heard before. im positive the sound is coming from the pump.)

It could be trapped air of some sort. If it's mechanical in nature, it might just be a dodgy pump, hard to say without hearing it. Maybe worth giving NZXT a shout, or the retailer you bought it from, saying you aren't happy. It obviously shouldn't be doing that. It may go away in time though.

some might say why complain when its there only 10 seconds. but for such an expensive pump i do expect it to not have small issues

It's called microbubbles.

If you radiator is mounted to the top of your case, mount it in the front instead.

You can also try tilting your case and leaving it.

Shaking the cooler only makes things worse because it splits large bubbles into more small ones.

If no positioning can fix it for you then you can try to RMA and see if they send you another that has less air in it.
