SSD Secure erase

Hello. 

 

I have to renistall my Windows 10 and i am going to secure erase my SSD through BIOS. Will the secure erase and installing windows on it again, affect performance?

 

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB

If you're not going to give the storage drive to someone else, you don't need to secure erase.

 

Otherwise no, it won't affect performance unless the drive is already on its last legs.

When you start installing windows you will get to the partitions screen, just delete all the partitions and you're good.
