Here's my part list https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NrMqr7

I've set up my drivers and made sure everything's up to date, but what software should i be using to make for a better experience? I have NZXTs CAM to monitor my system and Avira antivirus but I do not know what i need yet. I have a 1 TB HD not on the list btw

So you built the computer but don't know what to do with it? Why the heck did you build it?

One antivirus program is not sufficient.  You should also add Malwarebytes for malware protection.

Next step is to lock down Windows 10 spying.  Don't ignore this step!  No matter how many windows settings you disable, Microsoft is still spying a LOT more than you think.  At a bare minimum, you need to install Spybot Anti-Beacon.  For more info, Barnacules Nerdgasm and Crit have done some really great videos on the topic!

Why is everyone so concerned about Windows "spying"? Microsoft doesn't care about what you use your computer for, data gets anonymously collected and analyzed as a larger set by a computer. No data collected gets individually analyzed by humans, and all of it is anonymous. If spying is really this concerning, throw out your phone, credit cards, car, tv, etc.

It's because they didn't ask and that level of data collection hasn't been present in an operating system before. The amount they "spy" is significantly more than anything before and they made it very difficult to turn everything off.

The part that pissed me off was that they didn't even MENTION it during the install, at least not everything. I had to find about it later.

Its still nothing relevant. It isnt like there is some Microsoft employee sitting at a desk somewhere watching your every move on a computer. You can read Microsoft's statement here - https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement. None of the data they collect is anything unreasonable. None of it gets handled by actual people. Google has been doing most of this stuff for years.
