[URGENT] What to do after installing windows on SSD

Lolcrokn

Just bought 240GB SSD - got my 8GB USB ready to install windows on it
my questions:

1. During the install should i unplug my hard disk ?

2. Once I (hopefully) install Windows, what should i download next ? - Chrome, and GPU drivers seem logical but anything else ?

3. Do I need to uninstall steam and re-install onto the SSD to be able to put specific games on the disk ?

At what moment should I be able to plug back HDD ?

Thanks in advance!

GPU: GTX 1060 6GB

RAM: 16GB HyperX RAM

CPU: R5 3600

Motherboard: ASRock B450 Fatal1ty gaming K4

OS: Win 11 Pro 64-bit

No. Just go to the properties of each game you'd like, go to local files, and move them from there

Refering to the 3rd answer, so I will be able to boot into the multiplayer game based on Steam from SSD even if Steam itself is not on SSD ?

If you want to avoid the possibility of accidentally misclicking and reformatting your HDD then why not.

Drivers for wifi/ethernet and others if they're not working

Nope and also, if you were to uninstall steam, it would delete all the installed games as well...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Trust me I don't have any better internet speed, I mean you're from Canada so I imagine you made up that speed for lolz, my actual download speed of games on steam is like 1.3-1.5 Mb/s.

If you didn't make up that speed I feel you dude, I upgraded my speed from 0.5 like a month ago ...

Same, 700GB (back when I had 60 games installed) on a 0.7MB/s connection was not fun...

Now with my 9MB/s connection, everything downloads soooooooo much faster :D

Does the price make up for it? I heard german internet is fairly competitive

Well it´s ok:

35 € a month for 100 Mbit/s download and 10 Mbit/s upload

45 € a month for 400 Mbit/s download and 25 Mbit/s upload

In both is a landline flat rate to other landlines included.

The problem is that we pay way more for mobile internet then other contries in the EU. 750 MB flat  rate costs here ~8 €.

Not much better here either tbh, mobile internet is expensive but at least it's fast compared to normal internet. But in germany you get paid way more than in Croatia.

Here normal salary is around 800€

Yeah but the living cost is way higher. You can pay the bills with regular job but that´s it in a bigger city like Frankfurt, Berlin...

Not to mention the problem with finding a appartment at all because it was problematic before the refugee crisis but now with 1.5 million more people here it´s even harder

My city has only 75.000 citizens and i pay 400 € for 33qm. I am lucky because students usually pay 500 € or more for that in bigger cities.
