pc noob here haven't played a game on pc in years was wondering if my new laptop could handle the new SimCity here are the specs

Windows 8 - Intel® Core™ i7 Processor - 2GB NVIDIA® Dedicated Graphics - 15.6" HD LCD Multi-Touch LCD Screen - 8GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive - DVD-Super Multi Drive.

Yes it does run on Windows 8.

SimCity supports Hercules, CGA, EGA, Tandy, and VGA Graphics with 256k video ram. 640k of system ram is recommended. The only sound card supported is the Covox Soundmaster, and that works under windows.

 

It's safe to say that you laptop would absolutely destroy SimCity.
