I'm about to purchase an evga 780 reference, but i don't know if i should go for the superclocked or the normal. I want to do some overclocking, so which one should i choose? They cost the same. Actually the normal 780 is a tiny bit more expensive.

thx

you can do that with a non-reference cooler, you just need an refernence pcb. and any cooler would be better than the reference one

then take the cheapest ref. design pcb one. There arent any cherry picked reference boards as far as i know. You maybe want to check out the Classified or the Lightning in that case.

Just get whatever's cheaper and seeing as the SC is cheaper, DEFINITELY get that. At least you have a higher guaranteed clock speed out of the box.

The thing is that i really like the looks of the stock 780, so thats why i might not go with an aftermarket cooler
