Desk LED's - Which are the best?

For desk setups (mainly behind the desk for ambience, Is there a preferred LED strip that reigns supreme more than others?  I was looking at these These LED's

But fire hazards plague the reviews.  Many desk setups on youtube use them but if you guys use LED's what do you prefer?

ikea has a good set of LED's

They are a bit overpriced, if you want the absolute cheapest go search on eBay. I have bought a couple of them from the Chinese and the only real problem I've had is that some leds stoped working after 2 years of daily use. Cheers!

If you want a dedicated solution ones like Cables Mods or Bitfenix Alchemy are good, however if you want to lowest cost solution getting LED kits online and cutting and hooking them up are an alternative with some DIY work. As mentioned by dany they do sometimes give up the ghost long term wise.
