Hello everybody.

I would like your opinion/advice on the problem (not complete problem) I have.

It's about speed improvement on Windows 7 on laptop, but without h/w upgrade nor format.

From my whole knowledge, a speed improvement could help:

a. HDD defragmentation

b. disable some applications from running at startup

What is your opinion on all this?

Does it worth an effort?

If I have an improvement, about how much % will the speed be improved?

Is there something that I do not have in mind (a. and b.) that I could do and will give me the result I want?

Thank you for your time!

Defrag, Use CCleaner but really that's about it, having dealt with low performance PCs all my life i know no software improvement can make that much difference if the hardware part of the PC isn't that good in the first.
