Hey so I'm new to pc building and I did research on what to buy and all. I bought everything and plugged it in into my motherboard. When I was done plugging everything in I pressed on the POWER SW.

All fans started blowing and my gpu started lighting up. So I thought I did everything correctly. When I went to the assigned HDMI-channel it showed me I had no signal. So I looked up on youtube on how to fix this problem. They told me to remove ram clean it and tried all the 4 slots on my motherboard. No luck. Another fix was to unplug the gpu and look if your gpu is broken or not and I plugged the HDMI into the MoBo. Still no luck. Another fix was to remove the circle shaped battery for 5-10 mins.  and then put it back in. I did         but still no luck. I even unplugged everything except psu and the power cords that were needed to turn on the PC and started plugging my parts one by one into the MoBo but even that didn't help resolve my problem. So this is a cry of help to anyone who knows how to fix this.

i see you have an 7th gen i5 and your mobo was made when there was only the 6th gen. your bios will probably need an update. do you, or a friend of you, have an 6th gen cpu?

You have a B150 Motherboard and a Kaby Lake CPU. B150 (just as H170 and Z170) doesn't support Kaby Lake natively, even though they share the same socket. You need to update your BIOS first in order for your Kaby Lake CPU to work.

This is the BIOS update you need download.msi.com/bos_exe/7971vCA.zip

You will however need a 6th gen CPU to update the BIOS itself.
