It has started to make buzzing sounds when i power the pc on, it's incredibly annoying, sounds similar to a dying hard drive and yes all the necessary connectors are plugged in correctly

RMA it immediately. Switch of the PC.

It just started happening all of a sudden

You don't need a new PSU unless you really want a new PSU.

 

I would wait till Corsair Accepts or Declines your RMA to do anything, they might ship you a PSU before you send back the coil whining unit removing the need of getting a new PSU.

Other than being annoying, it's not a problem, it's not a hazard to your hardware.

I would argue this: a fully modular PSU is a lot easier to service. In a lot of cases, taking the fully modular PSU out for dusting is a lot simpler. No need to pull on cables connected, just take them off the PSU socket and then take the PSU out. That's one reason why I like fully modular.

Probably just coil whine, but monitor it just in case. 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

As much as it's rumored to be, having loose cables in your case does not significantly affect cooling performance.

My 24pin  mobo board connector is a pain to manage id rather pay for a fully modular psu and custom cables(cant get the cable flat)
