Seidon 240m vs NH-D14

Go to solution Solved by CoolBeans,

Seidon

Worth buying? Im opting for Seidon because of the less strain it gives my motherboard when im moving from place to place. Thoughts?

I would go with the Seidon 240m if your case supports it. The NH-D14 will put a lot of stress on your motherboard unless you have a bench case.

Strain on the motherboard is a non-issue unless it's a frequent lan party rig and is susceptible to sudden jerk movement.

The NDH14 is much quieter and is still competitive in cooling performance aside from looking better, being way quieter idle, and being way more reliable.

Also consider a PHTC14PE from Phanteks if you can fit it.

Seidon, can use any ram. D14 you need to use ram with out the big heat spreaders. I have a D14 and its fantastic but the no fuss option would be the Seidon.

Try the Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme. Its good performing, and cheaper than the Seidon 240m (at least where I live)
