Is the HyperX Cloud II worth it?

I can afford the Cloud II but it is so expensive and the Logitech G430 is a lot cheaper. Which one is better and why?

Also, how long do they both last? I would like around 5 years out of my headphones especially if I get the cloud II because they cost a lot.

The clouds are higher quality, they sound better and have a better mic. For me, my 3 pairs all broke within 6 months of me having them so I would recommend them but always be well aware that they can go *poof* out of the blue.

Do not get the 2, get the OG or core, the 2 just gives you a noise card, that seems to break so fast

They have a two year warranty so I am not worried about them failing fast. It will just be longer before I can buy my PC. I am just getting the headphones first because all my headphones broke on me all at once.

Are they all the same? I like the included plush ear cups and have my own sound card.

gaming headsets suck balls, get a good set of headphones and a clip on mic

If you get a pair, get them from a store that offers in store warranty. Then if they break you just have to take them into the store, not send them to Kingston, and wait for them to repair them, send them back, etc etc. Plus you generally have to pay for the shipping for any kind of warranty repair.

I have the CloudX Gaming for my Xbox, and I like it. The volume wheel is a little sensitive, and you can't change voice and game volume independently, which for a person really into gaming sucks. I don't mind since I just play a few hours a week, if that.

Never used the others but my cloud 2's are amazing.

Sadly they are beaten out (IMO) by my $50 5.1 surround system

Edit: My sound system is a logich X-530 and I have no idea how but I got it new for $50. It has lasted me 5+ years

Is Kingston different with headsets, I never had to pay shipping for warranty issues on any RAM of there's, that was one of the things I always liked best about them.

Shipping RAM is cheap, and margin is high. It's significantly more expensive to ship a set of headphones.

Might be different now, but the wait time is still a pain and instore warranties are generally a bit better.

Personally I'd rather spend $16 to have an instant replacement if needed.

Sound wise yes. I do not think the other ones have the velour earpads

They do make you pay shipping on headsets, one ear stopped working on my Cloud II and I had to pay the shipping.

yep, same driver + same shell= same sound. All of the coulds are build with the same drivers and the same shell, the velour pads will change the sound a bit.
