im sure this has been answered but i cant find it the answers im looking for so if you could either point me to a post or answer id be very happy ^-^

ok so my question is typical for watercooling newbies. how often can they leak. im really asking a diy vs aio kinda question. what is the chance that an aio to leak vs a diy kit. i know that if all is done right the chances are slim for the diy but for a newbie i feel it would be more so. and after reading some reviews on lets say the corsiar h100i the fittings on the rad or pump can leak easy so for a guy that just built his first computer, i have an i5 6500 that isnt overclockable but i still like the look of watercooling and i know there some amazing looking air coolers, should i try an aio since its just plug and go or do a diy and make sure to secure all the fittings and tighten (but not to tight) them. im very afraid that it will leak and distroy my hard earned money. it seems to me that diy kits are less pron to leak than aio so i was hoping some people here could enlighten me on how often they received a faulty aio or diy kit. thanks in advance. also maybe throw some some suggestions as to which of both choices you guys/gals like.

Corsair's been known to pay for systems damaged from leaking/faulty AIO's.  It's very unlikely that one would leak unless you do something to it or disassemble it.

i have heard that but does it count if you buy from amazon or newegg. or would i have to buy from them directly to get that kind of warrenty

It sounds to me like you should not be building a custom loop...

Stick to AIO or air cooler.

Watercoolers are a little bit more expensive.  For example, a noctua nh-l9i (low profile air cooler) is $38 on newegg while an h55 is $60.

This is coming from the guy who just spent $90 on 3 fans that light up different colors, so take my advice with a grain of salt.
