Hi

Some time ago I made a post about making a first pc build.

I got some really good advice, and I did some more homework.

And I put together a new list of parts for that build, but I would love some input on it.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/MZkpVY <- link

I was thinking of using it for gaming and starting to do some video editing and image editing - with room to grow.

I'm thinking of future proofing it, so I don't have to buy new parts every year or so.

Thanks in advance for the input

Here. I managed to fit in a better (and cheaper) cooler. The Blue LEDs conflict with your colour scheme. If it really bothers you, there's an easy way to disable them.

The motor and LEDs of a fan are usually wired in paralle, but the LEDs are all wired in series. Find one of the LEDs, find the wire, and cut it. Tape up the ends.

True :P

It probably doesn't compete with the 850 EVO for performance, but it's likely to last longer, as the 840 EVO, 850 EVO, 750 EVO, and probably all the other EVO SSDs are TLC SSDs.

Then again, quality control is likely to be better on Samsung's side.
