Also, can you really feel and tell the difference between 120FPS and 144FPS? i can't...i do have Gsync though...but for me personally anything above or around 100FPS is perfectly fine and well, even for online FPS i play BF1 a lot and i get around 85 to 110FPS on Ulra depending on the map and honestly it's way good enough and my CPU is pretty much never above 80% usage except when there is heavy fog (don't know why, Fog in that game load up the CPU a lot) | CPU: Core i7-8700K @ 4.89ghz - 1.21v | Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING | CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 | | GPU: MSI RTX 3080Ti Ventus 3X OC | RAM: 32GB T-Force Delta RGB 3066mhz | | Displays: Acer Predator XB270HU 1440p Gsync 144hz IPS Gaming monitor | Oculus Quest 2 VR
 Cant say I do but they are in different classes now. I play on both so much I can only tell when frame time becomes an issue. Which is why I stopped using the 1080. Only got the monitor because of the res, 144hz wasn't a selling point as I cant play a single new game at those frames anyway. Current titles aren't worth that for me right now. This, all of this. I spend 99% of my time playing games that are over a year old. Why buy Watchdogs 2 when GTA V looks the dame and runs better. And no hipster BS. We need games that aren't coded by monkeys. If anyone asks you never saw me.
 I'm gonna mess around with is some more but it seems that may be the only choice as turning down the settings isn't helping. If I can get the frame time back to 3-5 and not have the CPU struggling I would be happy regardless of frames. I'm guessing using console in bf to set frame limit or precision? Be advised though Gsync does not like framecaps (at least on my machine all goes to shit if i use one) but i think your monitor doesn have gsync right? | CPU: Core i7-8700K @ 4.89ghz - 1.21v | Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING | CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 | | GPU: MSI RTX 3080Ti Ventus 3X OC | RAM: 32GB T-Force Delta RGB 3066mhz | | Displays: Acer Predator XB270HU 1440p Gsync 144hz IPS Gaming monitor | Oculus Quest 2 VR
 Only RivaTuner in Afterburner limits fps on the driver level. Why I use it. No problems with GSYNC. If anyone asks you never saw me.
 Posted January 17, 2017 I don't have a problem setting an FPS cap using G Sync, either. I also use RTSS.
Posted January 17, 2017 There are 2 things you need to concider first. 1.) What is your monitor resolution and refresh rate? 2.) What games do you play? Do those games support SLI? So if you have 1080p monitor that can only handle 60Hz, you should just buy single GTX 1070. For 1440p 144Hz it would be better to use GTX 1070 in SLI, but only if your games support SLI. If your games don't support it, it will acctually only use single GTX 1070, so you would be better of with single GTX 1080. Set it at 100. Think the max the CPU hit was 70%~. Frame time still wasn't like it was awhile ago so at this point I assume the updates played a factor.
