I feel my fans do not do their job. I have 3 intakes and 3 exhaust. 3 intakes in the front and for exhaust, 2 on top, 1 in rear. I run my intakes at 70% and exhaust 75%. GPU 65%. i have the corsair 4x AF-120 front and rear and 2x AF-140 on top. I average 150 - 155°F on the GPU

First off depending on your setup a negative airflow would do better, not a neutral air flow. And whats the GPU?

Yeah that temperature is perfectly good, air cooling can only go so far.

So typically AMD is going to run hotter, its just their trend as far as efficiency. And honestly that cooling range is fine, most GPUs can run into the 80c and are still considered ok.

oh thanks man, tbh i was worried and its sooo loud

You could honestly turn the fan speed down if it's too loud for you.  I would turn down the intake and exhaust about 10% because having 6 fans run around 70% speed is going to be pretty loud in most cases.  But yeah anything over 80-85c then I would begin to worry.

damn thats hot @Thinkfreely

yes, but its still considered safe for a GPU, not saying you want it to run at that constantly. And AMD always runs hot.

i think LTT needs to automate any temperature concerns to tag #autralians or #kangarooshaggers. this is nothing. seriously this is nothing. even on a sub tropical island south west of australia this is nothing. I put your 155F into a calculator and it comes out as 68C. 10-series Nvidia GPU fans do not turn on until it reaches 60C. I actually think you have too many fans

155*F = 68.3*C.

That is actually quite cool for a graphics card -- considering they can reach into the 80*C+ zones.

What are your temperatures for your i5-6500?

Considering you are using the stock intel heatsink.

Not ALL AMD GPUs run hot.

Just like not ALL NVidia GPUs gets hot enough to grill beef **GTX 480**

My R9-Fury reaches a maximum of 56*C with maximum fan speed of 36%.

None of the three fans even turn on 1/3 of the time during gaming.

What cpu do you have?

Lower your fan speeds if you find it too noisy. You're fine up to 80-90c at load.
