Can i mod my Sennheiser HD 518s to be wireless?

So basically my 2.5mm to 3.5mm for my HD 518s cables keep breaking.

 

I was wondering I could mod them/upgrade them to use Bluetooth by adding some kind if Bluetooth receiver......

 

Is this possible or is this just wishful thinking?

The BTunes VXB-25 is obviously the best option but wayyyyy too expensive for a BT receiver IMO...

I could but the thing you linked doesn't ship to my country.....

Are there any other alternatives? Preferably under $50 USD.

Is searching "bluetooth receiver" really that hard?  

 

The BTunes obviously would work the best in terms of compatibility and probably sound quality but I mean, what does it do that a generic bluetooth receiver doesn't?

The BTunes doesn't really have great reviews compared to cheaper options like this. But all of these work with a 3.5mm jack, not a 2.5mm so you'd probably want to use it with a short cable and then velcro it to your headphones.

 

EDIT: My bad, there's a 2.5mm BTunes.

There isn't a really nice option under 50 bucks. (Trust me I've been looking ). 

 

Look on a website like Amazon, or wait until you can buy the BTunes one. Goodluck!

Don't give up! I've been looking too, and this is what I've come up with. I'm not sure if you can do this with the HD518, but it works for the HD558 and the HD598. Follow this guide on youtube. Then you can grab this TaoTronics Bluetooth Receiver from Amazon as well.
