allows my MB cpu overclocking?

so i recently got the i5 6600K and a Gigabyte G1.Sniper B7 and my brother told my i can't overclock my cpu because of the MB chipset.

does my MB allow the overclocking of my cpu?

 

(it's not that i really want to overclock right now, just wondering if it's possible for in the future)

If it's Z170 you will be able to OC,if it's not then nope

It's a B150 chipset. Sorry.

It's B150 so you can't OC on it.

You need Z170 if you want to do some OC.

 

And if you recently got that motherboard, you might want to check if you can return it and buy new one. 

If that's not possible, just wait till you acctually need to OC your CPU, and then sell your motherboard on craiglist, then buy Z170. You will have to add 50$ probbably, but in the end you will be able to OC your chip.
