Yep, contact corsair and they should send you a new back plate.

As i wait for my replacement cooler i need to ask where i put the fans on my Thermaltake View 27. Do i put the fans outside of the air filter or on the inside with the radiator? Do i use a push or pull setup on that? The only fans ill are the 2 that come with the cooler and the rear exhaust fan. thanks

Fan placement for a h100i... In the bin with the cooler.

Okay, now that I've got that out of my system. Most people recommend a push setup over a pull setup. The reasons I understand are heavily routed in physics, but basically it's easier to build a high pressure system with static pressure fans, than it is to build a low pressure system to do the same job.

The reason for my first comment is that I've had two asetek pumps fail in two years on corsair AIO's

hey guys i just got my new h100iv2. i went to install the mounting bracket and i noticed that after all the posts are screwed in, there is a bit of play between the plate and the mobo. is that normal? will that go away when all is said and done? there are some spacers in the kit but are those what they are used for?

Spacer as in the foam pad things?

They're meant to go between the motherboard and the bracket. (That's where they went for my H55s bracket anyway)

The play should disappear once you have the block attached though.

ok cool, well now I'm running into another issue with mounting the rad to the case. it seems that those spacers are meant for the screws that mount the rad to the case. with the given amount of spacers (8) I'm not able to securely screw the rad into the case. the screws hit the plate that is directly behind the screw hole with plenty to screw that needs to be screwed in. wtf?

It's normal. When you put the block on and start screwing it on, it pulls the backplate up to it. So long as you tighten the screws down all the way (in a criss cross pattern, doing like 5 turns before changing screws so you don't damage something) it will be fine.

ok cool, what about my issue with the screws being too long for the rad mount?

Well the super long ones are supposed to go through both the case, fans, and into the rad (but you probably assumed that much). As for the shorter ones, they do look super long but they do fit fine.

if I'm mounting using the long screws. case, fans, rad. then what are the short ones for?

The short ones are for if you do something like what I do, where my radiator is in the top of the case with the fans pushing air through it. AKA I use the short screws to fix the rad to my case and the longass ones to fix the fans to the rad.

Am I mounting it properly? The arrows on the fan are facing towards the inside of the case.

If you're going for normal airflow, you'd want the fan blades towards the front of the case (aka the part that doesn't have the supports and the back for the motor).
