If the new AMD cpu do well and sell for about $500-$700. Dose anyone think the 6900k will drop in price because I have been planing a build for a bout 3 weeks now and I have decided to go with the 6800k but I thinking if the 6900k drop below 1k I think It would be worth it what do you guys think? is the power of the 6900k that much better than the 6800k for things like editing and video rendering.

You know I have not but maybe I should. I just have been looking at intel and as of right the are more powerful but after seeing CES this year that might not be anymore.

They still will be.

Linus already said ryzen was still slower than the 6950x in the side by side comparison benchmark.

And fyi, the 6950X is one of the slowest i7s that intel has ever made.

And that why I said maybe and not 100% going to be better I am not hoping on the AMD hype train I have learned to many times not to get Hyped up for anything new AKA Watch Dogs 2 LOL.

They will drop in price definitley, however AMD have a tendancy to massivley overadvertise what their products do - I wouldn't expect Ryzen to be anything amazing.

That what sucks because Not trying to be a AMD hater but I don't want AMD to be good to buy AMD CPU but I want there to be some Competition between Intel and AMD some Intel has to more forward faster in there Tech.
