GTx 1070 SLI

Hello Evreybody 

 

I want to upgrade my gaming Pc to have two 1070 in SLI. But I don't know what kind of CPU I would need to run them.

Keep in mind I want to only play games on this computer nothing ells like editing or CPU intensive work, I just want to be able to run games on this.

So what kind of CPU would I need?

an i7 would be my best bet. 

 

and while 1070 SLI can be worthwhile... have you considered a titan XP, 1080, or the seemingly-inevitable 1080Ti?

Why do you want SLI? In general it is best to avoid multi GPU setup if there are better single card solutions. And is it supported by your mobo?

I would say get a 1080 instead, and then add another later if you need more power down the road, it's the smarter choice IMO. Also I would say even a 6600k would be completely fine running SLI

Get a 1080 or 1080ti when it comes out instead, not SLI. Also an i7 7700k would be best if it fits your budget.

I run 2 980ti, very close to 2 1070. My 4790k does a pretty good job of keeping up.
